"Bridger Bowl booked local homes for decades before stopping in 2020 due to Covid" This sounds to me like STRs were compliant with zoning over the last "decades." Bridger Bowl is a nonprofit company, I think, and it makes no sense that they would be a booking agent if short term renting was against the rules. If only a few owners rented homes for Bridger Bowl skiers, it does not sound like STRs have ever been a problem as noted in the Newsletter above. I looked it up and Richard Lyons wrote in a public letter still available on the BCPOA website…

"Bridger Bowl booked local homes for decades before stopping in 2020 due to Covid" This has absolutely no bearing on whether or not STRs were compliant with zoning over the last "decades". There were very few "local homes" being rented and they flew under the regulatory radar. We have seen a big growth in non-owner-occupied STRs in the last 3 years and it has become a local as well as national issue.
"the Tourism Bureau, to this day, lists and publicizes Bridger Canyon STRs". The ONLY lodging listed at the VisitMT page in Bridger Canyon is... Wendy Dickson's STR.
